Q: Who can join You Are What You Read?

Anyone! Kids have their own You Are What You Read community within THE STACKS, which is Scholastic.com's kids' online community about books. Learn more about THE STACKS below.

Q: How do I log in?

You can sign in using your STACKS account. If you don't have a STACKS account, you can create one here. Learn more about THE STACKS and our privacy policy.

Q: How do I create a profile for You Are What You Read?

It’s easy and free! After signing in with your STACKS account, you will be asked to create your Bookprint. Select the titles of your five faves and why these books are important to you (Don’t worry, you can always fill this part in later). Then grab the You Are What You Read widget for your STACKS profile page to show off your Bookprint to other users, view all the books you’ve “Liked,” and discover similar users who share the same books in your Bookprint.

Q: Who can see my profile information?

Anyone can see your profile. Your profile will include your Screen Name, the You Are What You Read widget if you’ve added that to your profile, and any actions you take on THE STACKS like creating an avatar or posting to message boards, etc.

Q: How do I change my Bookprint or profile?

Go to your STACKS widget or to the You Are What You Read homepage. Click on “Edit Bookprint” to change your list of favorite books. To change your profile, go to your STACKS profile page.
