Shawn Johnson

Shawn Johnson earned an individual gold medal on the balance beam and three silver medals in the individual all-around, floor exercise and team categories competing for the USA Gymnastics Team at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. In 2007 and 2008, the Des Moines native won back-to-back Senior National Championships and was named World AA Champion, with the largest point differentiation against some of the best gymnasts in the world. The youngest contestant ever on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars,” Shawn danced her way to become champion of season eight in 2009. In addition to her philanthropic involvements working with animal, cancer, and children’s charities, Shawn is also involved in programs that help build good character amongst youth across the country. Recently, Shawn worked with Zoo Entertainment, Inc. to develop the video game "Shawn Johnson Gymnastics," available for Nintendo Wii and DS. Shawn is currently focused on preparing for the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
